Balanza Privacy Policy

Weight and Body Data

Your height, weight entries, goal weight, unit preference, and every reading Balanza calculates from them are stored locally on your device. Balanza does not upload this data to Pretty Toolkit servers, we do not have access to it, and there is no account or sign-in.

Your BMI, your category, your trend, and the distance to your goal are all computed on your device from the numbers you entered. Nothing is sent to a server to be calculated, and the app works with no network connection at all.

Data Collection

Balanza collects nothing. There is no account, no email address, no name field, no device identifier, and no usage analytics of any kind. We do not know how many times you open the app, which screens you visit, or what you weigh. The app's App Store privacy manifest declares zero collected data types, and that is literal rather than a summary.

Reminders

Balanza can send an optional daily reminder to log your weight. Reminders are off until you turn them on, you choose the time, they are scheduled locally by iOS on your device, and they can be changed or switched off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings. Nothing about them is uploaded.

iCloud Backup and CSV Export

Balanza backs your history up automatically to your own iCloud account, so signing in on a new iPhone restores your entries. That backup lives in your personal iCloud, which Pretty Toolkit cannot access. Separately, you can export your history to a CSV file whenever you like — an export you start yourself, sent only to the destination you choose in the iOS share sheet — and import a CSV file back in. Restores and imports are processed entirely on your device.

Third-Party Services

Balanza uses Apple frameworks only: SwiftData (on-device storage), UserDefaults (preferences), UserNotifications (the optional reminder), and CloudKit (backup in your own iCloud account), governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. There are no non-Apple services in the app — no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no data brokers, and no cross-app tracking tools.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone — your weight history and personal details never reach us in the first place. When you export a CSV or restore from iCloud, the data goes only to the destination or account you chose on your own device.

Tracking

Balanza does not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. The app's privacy manifest declares that tracking is not used, and the app contains no tracking technology to declare.

BMI and Health Disclaimer

Balanza is a general screening and tracking tool, not a medical device. BMI is a broad screening measure that does not account for muscle mass, body composition, build, age, pregnancy, or your individual health, and nothing shown in the app is a diagnosis, medical advice, or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your health or your weight.

Children's Privacy

Balanza is rated 17+ and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children — or from anyone else, since the app collects nothing at all.

Your Rights and Data Deletion

Because Balanza stores your data on your own device and in your own iCloud, you stay in complete control: deleting the app removes your local data, and you can delete the iCloud backup or any exported CSV yourself. There is no account to close and no server-side copy for us to erase, because we never received anything. EU residents have rights under GDPR and California residents under the CCPA; contact us at the same address to exercise them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
